11.08.2012

I love and hate the internet.

It makes it so easy to keep in touch with people, and yet equally it separates you more too.

I decided to have my cat Edgar put to sleep last week, after another run in with a car his organs had been pushed up by his heart. Rather than put him though a risky operation or watch him deteriorate over night. I decided there and then that rather than watch him suffer I'd give him up.

I'd only had him four years but he was the most affectionate cat I have ever had. Always talking, always following me. When I left for Uni this time last year, I was in bits leaving him behind. He had to go to my Dad's house as my Mother had just moved house next to a really busy road. So when I came home at Christmas it was weird not being able to have him in my room and spend as much time with him as I had previously done.

The same happened again when I returned for the Summer Holidays, it didn't feel right not being able to spend so much time with him. Equally how much of a burden my Dad made him out to be.

But all of that is neither here or there.

Right now I still miss him.

I've always had a cat throughout my twenty years of life, and the prospect of not being able to have one for the next three years until I finish my degree is soul destroying.

I recently spent three days entirely on my own at my Dad's house whilst he went camping and my Mum was at work. She was reluctant to leave me on my own, but it was what I needed.

I'm still not over it. far from it.

but I guess it's better if I keep that for myself.
No one wants a depressed, whiney, asshole for a friend.

So I'm probably just going to disappear from the net again, for a while.

Bye.

[ALL THE THINGS]

Well yesterday I had to visit another Museum!
This one however had a kind of Natural History - Oxford Equivalent, so it was really quite interesting!
Lots of skeletons of various creatures.. including a T-Rex...WHICH WAS HUGE.

There was loads of different stuffed animals. Red Panda!! They remind me of my Cat cause his face is a little like theirs..apart from it's flat from the side.

HAPPY LOOKING BEAVER. I completely didn't notice the naked lade behind it on the painting...
o_o

After having wanted hot food and a sit down meal, it was decided that we would go to this cool Grill place.

NOMMY DESSERT.

Later the joys of NO AIR, NO LIFE. Were discovered..I NEED THAT DVD. Dear God it hurt to laugh after watching!!!

Now to get back to my Japanese work!

ロンドンへいきましょう!

Today, I had to visit The British Museum. It was a compulsory trip due to a top up module I took this semester for extra credit. Aptly named, "Museums and Society" - I'm sure to most this must be the most boring thing in the world, and I'll be honest this trip today seemed pointless as we were talked at for an hour and a half, then told to look into the meaning of some things which really didn't need meanings attached to them. Hmm. University lecturers sure make you think, although not always on the most necessary of subjects.

I got to see a Crystal Skull from Europe, it looks like a glacier mint...

And this adorable bugger, it's a Japanese ivory carved Skull with a little Lizard on top. Fuck, I wanted to take it home with me it was so cute!

Me and my Uni friends ventured to JP Books, Japan Centre and China Town before the museum! Where I purchased my first ever Kera magazine!! I have always been interested in the scans and fashion featured in the Magazine but never picture up a physical copy. Safe to say I will most likely be picking one up each months from now onwards. So full of beautiful things!!

There was also another beautiful thing lurking in the adverts....JUN!! From Golden Bomber advertising MINTneko. I have the Mint Sixh. Necklace but maybe I can get some more accessories from Japan in summer!

A cheaper version of Ramune..and tastes better..this was peach flavoured.

A MOTHER FUCKING PANDA WAFER CHOCOLATE THING. IT WAS DELICIOUS AND ONLY 66P.

ULTIMATE BARGAIN.

[Japan Underground]

Yesterday I attended Japan Underground at The Pipeline, London. This was my second JU, as I went to the one last year in October - and can safely say loved every second.

This time there was a "loose" 80s theme, with a Japanese band "Queer" playing Queen covers, and had a very bizarre dancer...I shall never see Bohemian Rhapsody in the same way again!

The first act had me running for the hills, and so ventured outside to see the snow.

I apologise to everyone who tried to make me dance xD

All I can say is that later "女々しくて" came on and I was dancing then!

Getting home was an epic trip! Missing the last Underground Train to Victoria, then getting a Taxi with a Lady nice enough to share the fare with us, and then sitting in the Oxford Tube for 2-3 hours, as it dredged along in the snow.

[31.01.2012]

My second lesson of the new semester today - It was good!
I very much like what I am doing with my life right now, learning Japanese and being here at University is possibly one of the best choices I have made so far.

It's just a shame I am rubbish at social interactions!
There are some pretty interesting people in my Classes, I just don't have the guts to talk to them properly.
I may not appear shy, in fact I most likely appear cold, in reality I really am just scared of what to say in case it's uninteresting or absurd.

Maybe this will mend itself in time?
Already since being here I am a lot better than I ever was.

[08.01.2012]

Right now I am at my Mum's house!
I haven't stayed here since she moved and got engaged but it's okay.
Seeing all the animals is good - I missed Maud the cat a great deal!

Interesting things happening in the UK Visual Kei fandom at the moment.
D aren't coming back here this tour, I am not overly surprised. I would have been more surprised if they did come back! But I was glad I got to see them last time so I'm not too fussed.

LM.C are coming back, but they really aren't my thing anymore. I saw them back in 2009 and had fun, but I won't be going this year.

I was kinda hoping for bands like -OZ-, Lynch., or Matenrou Opera to come here this year.
Although if this doesn't happen I'll hopefully see all three this summer in Japan!

I SERIOUSLY want to see Girugamesh again though.
I need to pre-order their DVD too!
